Sophie Marsh is Australia’s only Nia Trainer on the International Nia Training Faculty and the country’s most experienced Nia teacher. For over 25 years, she has been a catalyst for embodied transformation — guiding women to reconnect with the wisdom of the body, the healing power of movement and the joy of living with purpose and presence.
Based in Brisbane, Sophie facilitates Nia’s Art of Sensation (White Belt) and Art of Communication (Blue Belt) trainings, and has completed all levels of Nia education along with additional study in trauma-sensitive practice, mindfulness and somatic healing. Since bringing the practice home from the US in 2004, her leadership has helped shape a vibrant Australian Nia community rooted in connection and collaboration.
Sophie creates spaces that are welcoming, playful and deeply restorative — where women, especially in midlife and beyond, can move, heal and awaken to their natural strength, sensuality and vitality.
She also works in the Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) sector as a Family Support Worker, offering compassionate support and practical guidance to help individuals and families move forward with greater ease and resilience.
